“When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” — Proverbs 21:15 (NIV)
There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing wrongs made right. Whether it’s a verdict that brings closure, a rescued life restored, or a public apology after years of silence, justice done well resonates with the soul. And that’s not just a human feeling. It’s a Kingdom response.
According to Proverbs 21:15, when justice is done, it does more than make headlines—it brings joy to the righteous. That means God’s people are wired to rejoice when righteousness prevails. Justice is not political. It’s not partisan. It’s the heartbeat of Heaven.
What Brings God Joy?
Scripture tells us over and over that God delights in justice (Jeremiah 9:24, Psalm 33:5). Justice is not just a social issue—it’s a spiritual reality. When we act justly, we reflect His character. When we stay silent in the face of oppression, we distort His image.
To be righteous is to care deeply when people are abused, silenced, or forgotten. If we are filled with the Spirit of God, we cannot be indifferent to injustice. In fact, true righteousness cannot exist apart from justice.
The Flip Side: Terror to Evildoers
Justice doesn’t just bring joy—it brings terror to evildoers. Why? Because it exposes what has been hidden, confronts what has been protected, and tears down what has been built on lies. This is why we often see so much resistance to truth, especially when it threatens systems of power. But take heart—God is not mocked. His justice will roll like a mighty river (Amos 5:24), even when people try to dam the flow.
Living Out Justice Through Project Sawubona
At Ruach Global Missions and House of Prayer, we believe justice must look like something. Through our outreach, Project Sawubona (which means “I see you” in Zulu), we serve vulnerable women—survivors of abuse, abandonment, and extreme poverty—in South Africa and beyond. We don’t just pray for justice—we provide it with hands and feet. Daily meals, safe spaces, worship, healing, and restoration all happen on the ground, every week, because justice requires more than intention—it demands investment.
Here’s how you can help right now:A monthly gift of just $20 provides a daily meal for one vulnerable woman for two weeks on the mission base. That’s the justice of God made tangible.

Justice Is Our Joy Too
When we fight for justice—for the trafficked, the abused, the unborn, the wrongly imprisoned—we are doing more than charity. We are participating in what brings joy to the righteous and pleases the heart of God.
Let justice not just be a reaction to crisis, but a lifestyle of righteousness. Let it show up in how we pray, how we vote, how we give, how we lead, and how we speak up for those who can’t. In a world filled with injustice, be someone who brings Heaven’s joy to Earth.
Reflection Question: Where do you see injustice in your sphere of influence, and how is God asking you to respond?
📖 Micah 6:8 — “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”
